Took the plunge - so far so good. I miss my 1950's Calclassics/Golden Wings world, and hope that can be recreated for FSX. I'll still fly my GW-based FS1955 for sure, until that happens.
Issues:
1) Lights on all a/c are large - just as in FS9 default. In the case of FS9, I used Nick's lights to get them down to a reasonable size. How can I do that in FSX?
2) Default "special scenery" (non-autogen buildings like custom airports, shuttle pad, etc.) have a bad flicker. (black angular shadow shape over the buildings). Thoughts?
3) Menu Bar - always on. In Fs9, you hit "Alt" and it comes, hovers, and then goes away. How can I fix this?
Setup:
FSX Accel on
Pentium Dual Core 2.4GHz
3 GB RAM
WXP w/SP3
GeForce 9800 GT
All scenery sliders at around 66%, scenery at "normal", no AI traffic, max aircraft detail, FPS no limit - range around 25-30, except for Vertigo Studios Hellcat - that thing is killing my rig.
