I was surprised and saddened to read about the death of Steve Chase, only aged 50.
It's been one year now, and with him in memory, Hovercontrol has launched a memorial flight, both for fs9 and fsx.

Hope you don't mind, I thought I'd add this...



To commemorate & celebrate Steve's life,
and his contributions to the FS community,
we plan to hold a Memorial Fly-In
at Blackpool, (EGNH), and around Steve's Irish-Sea scenery.



Event Details -
Date - Saturday 14th August 2010
Time - 17:00 UTC (Suitable for Europe/Americas)
Server - Hovercontrol

oh no! the odg project was one of the most awesome things to happen to flight simulator.
a memorial flight is fitting tribute. i wish i had a computer (and the skills) to enable me to attend. i would love to see a video if someone makes one. i really hope they do.

The Offshore Development Group is still in operation, and making updates available for FSX.

Even if one doesn't want to participate in the fly-in, the Irish Sea scenery in the link Stuart provided above is great for those folks that want to try the challenge of landing on offshore oil platforms.
