Not even that is true, it's just one so far.

Gee, what a huge effin' PITA doing it was.

The best thing is...I need to do three more of those. Yay...not!

Off to bed.

- Edit: Before you ask...yes, it's supposed to light just the left side of the runway. The middle is done with the "laxi" lights on the nose gear.

Good work, Bjoern. You should put your old signature back up, "Married to a Dornier 328", it seems appropriate.

Well, I think I'm done with those landing lights now. I finally want to implement the remaining, secondary lights (cockpit, cabin, wing inspection, logo, etc...).

I've managed to implement some kind of gradual intensity depending on the time of day.

If you look closely, you can see the difference at day. One of the sets of bones will *always* be active respecively once the taxi and landing lights are switched on.

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o183/t3h_3vil/Do-328/th_328_Lights_Day_Off.jpg (http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o183/t3h_3vil/Do-328/328_Lights_Day_Off.jpg)

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o183/t3h_3vil/Do-328/th_328_Lights_Day_On.jpg (http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o183/t3h_3vil/Do-328/328_Lights_Day_On.jpg)

At dusk, you'll get 'em in bright yellow at half or two thirds intensity for the landing and taxi lights respecively (which still makes for a powerful display):

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o183/t3h_3vil/Do-328/th_328_Lights_Dusk_All.jpg (http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o183/t3h_3vil/Do-328/328_Lights_Dusk_All.jpg)

At night, you'll get them in full glory:

The whole system is also applied to the landing light beams.

None at daytime.

One third intensity at dusk...

..and full intensity at night.

The landing light splashes may look weird but quite plausible if you keep the shape and setup of the 328's landing lights in mind.

Just for the record, the taxi lights. The beams look a bit weird from above.

And just for showing off, the red nav, white nav and stobes (and again, the beacon splash). All created in lengthy trail-and-error sessions to find the perfect method for having them bright in the day and at night (yes, they are fairly small even on the real thing).

Not a single .fx file in this one. This is what you get for not letting ACES fix that bug, MS!
