Beautiful pics :applause:

The polished DC-3 ( 2nd pic in #3) looks stunning , as does N97H.

If any one's up to repainting the MAAM DC-3 there's some great shots here.

Thanks for sharing :jump:

Pete.

Were you there opening day? IF so, did you get any pics of the mass fly-over that wasn't supposed to take place? Man, I looked over my shoulder and "BEHOLD" there were 21-22 DC-3's/C-47's and one B-25 leading the way coming over the field. Kind of sneaky of them to not tell us it was coming after telling us it was off!

politics involved perhaps; one poster stated the flyover took place above EAA controlled airspace.

Was not there monday. Tuesdays schedule was all messed up also. Many wet fields still. Decided not to go today. Need to recover.

Actually staying home today. Heading back tomorrow and Friday.
As far as the Mass Flyover goes, I talked to one of the main DC-3 pilots and he said that they were going to do it anyways but at a higher altitude. But that morning EAA caled and said that they wanted it and it was a go! Then decided not to tell anyone. Earlier in the day I overheard the head of warbird opps saying their number one priority was to move such and such aircraft and that he had 28 DC-3's coming in after 2PM. I thought he meant one at a time!
It was a sight that I'll never forget.

28 DC-3s in one place? And I missed it? Plus a DC-2?

I think I'm going to go drown my sorrows.

...walked allmost 30 miles that day boy i am still in pain

I went up on Sunday morning, checked into my room in Waupun, then drove up to KOSH for a quick recon. Free admission (since I had my Monday ticket already), and free parking!

I walked around the main exhibit area for about two hours then returned to the motel and the hot-tub...

Monday I picked up my "mobility scooter" and managed to rack up a lot of miles! I saw places for the very first time since I've been going.

Unfortunately, I forgot my camera and sunscreen, so no pics and sunburned knees, face and hands.

Fortunately, the only sore part of my anatomy was my fanny, which a few hours in the hot-tub took care of... :)
