I particularly did NOT like this comment in the article,

"In the meantime ISPs may force multiple customers to share IP addresses, which may lead to common applications, such as Gmail and iTunes, ceasing to work."

That situation, to put it simply, would SUCK. Not the Itunes part, but the Gmail. That is what I use!!!!

I'm sure some ISP's are thrilled about the potential to add a monthly "IP address fee" to their bills, plus they can use IPv6 "upgrades" as an excuse to jack up their rates even higher.

when that starts happening, it's time to sign off, just like i did with tv. one has to set limits.
i'm sure there is some other solution other than sharing an ip addy

Yes, do what they did last time this came up, and add another three digits to the I.P. addresses. Will mean major firmware changes to routers, hubs, etc. worldwide, but that is the only solution.

Exactly as jhefner says - adding numbers can give virtually unlimited numerical iterations for individual idents.

Both my Windows and router are IPv6 ready, so bring it on!

Damn, wish Al Gore had thought about this when he invented the internet. :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol:

And before anyone says anything, yes, I know he did not invent the internet. I just could not pass up a chance to through that line out there. :wiggle:
