I am trying to due some sling loading and that helicopter (or me) is so hard to fly at slow speed.

Anyone have a hint for me?

This article fixes part of the problem:

http://www.hovercontrol.com/artman/publish/article_152.shtml

I know a lot of people use the Cougar Autopilot/Autohover gauge on the middle of this page:

http://www.hovercontrol.com/cgi-bin/ifolio/imageFolio.cgi?direct=Add-ons_-_Panels_and_Gauges_-_FSX

As I have been told, the real world EH-101 has a autohover capability and that gauge adds that feature back.
Get over the spot you want to hover, engage autohover, then make small adjustments forward/back or side with the cyclic.

I have tried this autopilot gauge and followed the instructions in the readme but i cannot get the window with the autopilot controls to show up. It is listed as one of the windows when i press shift and the numbers but it does not show? Any idea what i could have done wrong?

Make sure of the following:
1. AFCP.CFG and AP1.CFG are in your main FSX folder (the one with FSX.exe in it).
2. HAP.GAU and AS532AFCP.GAU are in your main Gauges folder.
3. When you ran FSX you accepted the two gauges (check your fsx.cfg when FSX is not running and make sure the gauges are listed in the trusted section).
4. Modify the panel.cfg file for the EH101 as described in HC075DI_FSX_COUGAR_AUTOPILOT.TXT.

Did you get your autopilot to work? If not do this in your panel CFG file.

Also fly your realism on low when flying Helicopters. If you where to look at the air cfg file in the Helicopters you will find that thy have a setting low. You will need to add this to the EH101. After I did this mush better to fly the Helicopters.

[Helicopter]
low_realism_stability_scale = 1.0, 1.0, 1.0 //Pitch , Bank, Yaw Scalars on Stability in Low Realism Settings

.
Yeah, to perhaps put too fine a point on what Flyer01 indicated above:

Whenever I've seen the problem you describe, the cause invariably lay in NOT listing the particular window under [WINDOW TITLES] at the top.

In other words, the window data was properly listed farther down in the Config [WINDOW07], but it was NOT ALSO listed under the TITLES list at the top.
