A what if wish list of favorites from fs9 that have not be converted

A couple that come to mind for me both free and payware

Freeware:
The Maule Package (wheel, Ski, amphi, tri wheel) was a real treat
Miltons Dash 7
and there was a Cessna 150 that was brilliant

Payware:
FSD 337 and Navajo
Dreamfleets A36 and Baron 58

these are just a few that come to mind there are many many more

Piglet's Mi-24A/V or
Nemeth's Mi-24P

Nemeth's MD-500E
(Yes, I have the ported over 'FSX version', but still not happy with it)

Nemeth's S-76, Mi-2, and Mi-17
(I know the Mi-17 sorta works with some effort, but I don't want to have to sorta make it work)

Both of the ICARO helicopters AW-139, BK-117

Well I did wish the Dreamfleet 310 was rebuilt - but now I don't care with the Milzviz around the corner

I also miss the DF A36 Bonanza and Baron... Cardinal was good too

I'll go with that lot too! :)

Also I would love to see Rick Piper's Chippie as fully FSX native. :)

- Cloud 9 MB-339 C/D
- FSD T-38A
- KBT P-3C (If they could just get the Bomb bay doors to open and close in FSX it would be an improvement!)

- Piglet's T-33 (Obviously!)

No ports on this end and I don't think I'm actually missing any aircraft since the ones I have for FSX are the best I've seen yet for an MSFS series.

But......If there has to be an answer it's pretty easy for me to come up with two FS9 aircraft that I would love to see done as native FSX. It's only two because not only would they have to be FSX native, but they would have to be ones that I would fly a lot.

Here's where the stats take over. :)

1. Going back to FS2002 I have time logged in 162 models of aircraft (sub-variants are lumped) in this logbook.

2. I just passed the 5500 flight hour mark on those 162 aircraft.

3. Of those 162 aircraft, 53 have logged less than 20 hours - no loss there if not available.

4. Of those 162 aircraft, only 13 have logged more than 100 hours - possible loss there if not available.

5. Of the 13 aircraft that have logged more than 100 flight hours there are 9 payware and the other 4 are default MSFS aircraft.

6. Of the top 10 of those 162, only 2 are pre-FSX aircraft, the Shockwave B-29 and the Aeroworx B200.

Of those two the only one that I really miss is the B-29, which ports over rather well, but until I really miss it, we're staying port free on this end. I'm not ready to go botch up a perfectly good FSX installation over one aircraft. :)

Interestingly the highest logged flight hours on any aircraft that didn't break the 100 hour mark is the freeware "Wright Flyer 1911 EX", with 90 hours.

Beat me to it, the 'FSX version' is simply 'unflyable', and I paid the darn thing.

Alphasim BAe Lightning
Alphasim Vought Crusader

Currently working on sorting Lightning portover problems, flame-outs at low engine rpm's and gunsight black out in VC still to be sorted. External model is still great even without bumps etc.

Though the FS9 version flies perfect in FSX, so no worries. :d

I'm already working on a high fidelity FSX native Do27
The FDEs from the DA/Aerosoft FSX version weren't too realistic (to put it mildly) but the same was unfortunately true for the original fs9 version as well.
There will be no 'special' features, but the external model will be more precise, the FDEs will be much better and of course it will be FREEWARE :)
Expect some (very early) development screenshots soon :)

As there are far too many aircraft which I can fly in FS9, but can't in FSX, I still have a 52 GB FS9 install on my PC. So it is nearly impossible for me to provide this list.

But this is the list of FS9 models which I have currently installed in FSX.

Manuele Villa's Ansaldo SVA-5
Manuele Villa's Breda Ba-65
Oliver Fisher's Bücker Bu-131 Jungmann
James C. Douglass's De Havilland DH60 Gipsy Moth
Piglet's Fieseler Fi-156 Storch by Piglet
Manuele Villa's FIAT G-18
Luca Festari's Savoia Marchetti SM79 converted from CFS3 by Manuele Villa
The Groundcrew's (beta) Messerschmitt Bf-110 E/D
Michel Migaud's Koolhoven FK.58
Michel Migaud's Fokker G-1 (not released)
Restauravia's Nord 3202

This doesn't mean these are all the models from which I would like to see a FSX version, but these are the FS9 models I like very much which port over to FSX quite well.
A full list would be much longer..... I guess about 52 GB....

Cheers,
Huub

One of my favourite aircraft, from FS9, which I would love to see in FSX is the Aeroworx King Air 200. Unlikely to ever happen though, because it would have been done well before now. Oh well.

+2. The shot below is actually the beta of Ed Waters' Mk VIII made to the same standard. The other one is the lovely Flight Replicas BF109F. I keep FS9 installed just to fly Ed's Spitfires and the FR 109 F/G/K.

Meh- A Spitfire VIII is too much like a Mark IX, I wanna see some low-backs-XVI's, XVIII's, and maybe a Trainer two seat 9

I think I'am the only one who would like to see some of the historic planes in FS9 be converted to run in FSX.Although I haven't got FSX as yet I would love the Spirit of St. Louis be FSX compatable.

Until the day dawns when we get a bubble canopy Spit of whatever Mark (Packard Merlin Mk.XVI preferable) I use portovers of the JF/AH Mk.'s FRXIV and F22 as per the attached shots. With a replacement prop and sound aliased to the RealAir model they are not bad and fly O.K. as well.

That Mk VIII looks fantastic. I also recall seeing screenshots of the Plane Design Mk IX, quite a while back now. I'm tempted to reinstall FS9 just to fly the Mk XVI again, along with a couple of other aircraft I really miss...
