Cirrus,

I appreciate all your efforts on these paint schemes.

The effort to convert the B to a C was a 5-day, 30 hour one. Reshaping the nose and remapping all the exterior fuselage attached parts and all the interior parts was a real bear. Then of course I had to construct the new interior parts and cut in the bomber doors. That's all labor pains BS and who really cares but me. :costumes:

The point is I really am not into going back in to modify the B or the C versions at this point on something that major. An easier approach may be to remap the nose glass to allow for this overpaint. Then of course, as to not affect the other 5 models (soon to be six), we would have to add a seventh model variation with another map. Mapping for that may be a disappointment as the B model has that area mapped from the top, side and front. A quick and dirty side map will leave the top and front textures smeared/stretched unlike the rest of the fuselage, likely pissing off a whole bunch of people. :mixedsmi:

Now that you have read even more labor pains BS, I apologize to you for the second time today, and say, no, I will not do this. Sorry.

Now I suspect no one likes my answer but I have posted links to gMax source code or shared the gMax source with several people here. I have to cut it off somewhere so here is where I am drawing my line. You went into this scheme knowing that the model does not support it.

We now have two B versions and two C versions and one pseudo AI version. Any future variations must come from another modeler. :)

Now, back to retirement for me. :running:

EDIT: Sorry again for the rant. I'm burned out, and gettin' too durn old and grouchy for this work.:d

Make that 2 pseudo AI Versions.
The original model supplied with the paint kit ain't too bad for a solid nose with guns AI.
Anyway, I used it, so it works for me.
YMMV :icon_lol:

Guys, I mean no offense to anyone. I really appreciate all the efforts going on here. I think its great :applause:

Everyone is contributing to make this an even better package than it started out to be. That's awesome and we all benefit from this. I just have to move on to something else and allow these artists to do their thing. It's amazing what everyone has done here in just a few days. My hat is off to you all. Thanks. :ernae:

I thank you again, Milton, for all you've done for our community.:medals: Your talents seem magical to someone as computer-challanged:d as me. I can't design models, paint, or modify, so your work (and others like you) seems like some sort of magical gift, or ability. One day when I'm not spending all of my time chasing the dollar, I will try to learn this art. Until then, I rely on wonderful people like you and the gifts that you share with us. Please enjoy some R&R, but don't stay retired too long. You are a special member of this community.:applause: Three cheers:ernae: :ernae: :ernae: for Milton, and others who give so much of their time and talent on behalf of the FS community.:medals:

Hi Milton....
Thanks for all you've contributed, including this latest bird, the A-26. It is an example of an outstanding team effort...looks and flies like a dream...real quality work.

Please don't retire too much :d . How about just sliding off into a holding pattern for a bit. One never knows when the juices will re-ignite...

Take care
Roy Marsh

They used three a-26's in the movie always a both b an c models , all carried the name fire eaters number 57,58 and 59
58 was a b model it is shown on the website below

http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/AWA1/301-400/walk335_A-26/walk335.htm

your paint looks fine on the b model an i bet it will look just as good on the c too.
team invader rates a rest they have gone above an beyond the call of duty.
this is a remarkable package that in my opinion is every bit as good and better than some payware birds you get.
So cirrus get your paints done ill be happy to put them in my hangar.
