Although it is probably my favorite add-on, I haven't been flying the Duke over the past few weeks. However, last night I was back in it again.

It still amazes me how well the Duke in general is done and especially the VC and the instruments. Combine it with the RXP 530 and it is hard to beat for a GA add-on.

I was wondering how it stacks up against the Carenado F33a. The screenshots of the F33a look great. But I wonder if the VC and the instrument panel is a workable and realistic seeming as the Duke.

Does it have the grab and drag feature to turn knobs like the Duke? Does it have rain or ice effects?

I would really like to hear from anyone who has both and doesnt mind sharing their impressions.

thx

The Duke is leagues ahead of the F33 imho - I own both.

However the F33 is a bit more fps friendly than the Duke.

Still though I'd buy the F33 - it does maybe 180 tas at altitude and with the latest SP installed it behaves like a real plane

I retrofitted my F33 with the GNS430W, GTX327 and GMA340 panels... other users have changed most the gauges with the RXP Flight line N and T gauges too...

Carenado was kind enough to included a model with 3d knobs and one without....

Doesnt have grab and drag knobs or rain and ice effects...
