Just uploaded a set of AI A-26's.
The models are not full blown AI with multi LOD's or extra small texture plates, but thanks to Milton Shupe for the lower poly
models they are usable.
I have used GA Traffic to lower the size of all the less important textures, and changed all the more important ones to DXT3.
I find these AI versions quite usable if not too many are in veiw at once.
Thanks again to the great A-26 team for all your effort.

Hey,

I just downloaded and installed the AI aircraft set, but the aircraft are not showing up like other AI aircraft. I placed the into the FS9 aircraft folder as AI aircraft. If this is wrong, please let me know the correct way!!!!

Just because you put an AI aircraft in the aircraft folder, does not mean it will show up automatically. AI aircraft are scenery items, for use in "building" scenery, by making specific flights for them. If you have never made any, it requires some knowledge of the process, and a few tools. There are some specific forums for learning to use/create AI flightplans, especially at Avsim.com, as well as the other large sites.

Perhaps someone will post some of their plans that they've made for these, for those who don't know how... Lightning??

I have altered my local airfield with military designated parking, created my own flight plans, altered the default FS flight plans to use nothing but military aircraft in three different installs of FS (WWI , WWII/Korea, and Vietnam era).
Far beyond what I'm about to do to start creating flight plans for everyone's local airport.
The AI work well, time to start learning how to create AI traffic if you want to use em.

Someone else want to create traffic files, please feel free to do so.
That's what I did em up for.

Know what you mean, Lightning. I wasn't asking for me, I know how.:d
Just way to busy. Can't even get my own system setup completed, due to to many irons in the fire. :banghead: :banghead:

Appreciate the work you put in with the aircraft. I'll definitely use them, when the chance comes along. :ernae: They're sitting in the hanger, for now.:d

There are a few AI traffic creation software packages available free.
Do a search on flightsim.com or Avsim etc.
I even included the aircraft.txt file for those using TTools.
AI programming can be very frustrating and it has a hefty learning curve, but is loads of fun to see your local airport or where ever populated with your favourite AI.

BTW I also included .zips with the low rez textures I used for the package so you can create your own from some of the great new paints coming out. (read the high rez text file for a list of textures you should copy over from any new paint.)
