This is from a newsletter I get called "TinyHacker":

World famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright envisioned but (obviously) never built a mile high structure in Chicago. Two students created an impressive video of what might have been.

The two students, we should add, are at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

That would have been impressive.
I've always admired Frank Lloyd Wright's designs.

That is pretty darn cool. Thanks David for the heads up.

I have parused through Franks books for hours and been through a tour at his school here in Scottsdale, (north, out in the mountain range, Telliasen West, surely I mis-spelled that). His design directions were timeless, never seeming to look old, a sort of organic, yet modernist approach, and simple yet contemporary.

That tower would be IMMENSE! lol... Note that the elevator was doing about 65 to 75 MPH straight up! lol... Goodness. Those elevators would be pretty busy on such a tower.

....Very cool video clip. What I liked most were the Flash Gordon type vehicles (copters/airplanes/de Vinci machines?) that hovered and landed on and around the Mile High proposed building. Either Vulcan or Thor would be comfortable in one of these craft.
