A new version of the 'standard' Veyron, now with 1200 hp and 1500 nm (1106 lb/ft) and a new body with aerodynamic updates. 0-300 kph (186 mph) in only 15 seconds and a topspeed of 434 kmh (269.7 mph). Volkswagen set a new speed record for production cars with an average of 431.072 kph over two runs.

Given the amount of work to get to 1,000hp originally, I'd say it's probably a considerable rework - cooling was the major issue.
Wonder what its intended market would be?
The previous one had a switch which unleashed all the power, and a notice that said:

I'd say that very few of these cars are every exploited to their full potential. A guy 50 miles from here bought a standard Veyron a couple of years ago(€1.7m including taxes,afaik) and rarely ever takes it out of the garage.
