Has anyone done or know where I can find some paints for the EAW Su-26?

sorry to go off-topic, but I'd love to see some more pics. How does it perform?

Superbly, that big radial up front really gets things moving along nicely. I've been having a ball using FS Recorder and mixing it up with the default Extra and LIC Eagle II, the power really shows across these three types. The visibility is excellent, the handling is crisp and it presents me no frame rate issues on my old P4 powered PC.

Search Avsim.com for "Cris Brisland" He has done a number of great repaints for the Sukhoi, and be sure you have installed both of the patches so the bumpmapping is enabled.

I sent several up to Avsim...

Chris, yes thanks, I was up to the small hours downloading them, haven't had a chance to fly yet though, but definitely looking forward to it

Darrell, you really did an excellent job with this, my PC is old (pre-multicore) yet I get totally usable frame rates with three aircraft plus smoke effects in an ever changing scenery (due to the flight manoeuvres). I have to stay away from cities to avoid slowdowns with just one default aircraft, so being able to fly like this is simply great. I did some tweaking of the SoundAI folder to get better sounds while FS-Recorder was running as traffic, I think I'll try your power mods in one of Chris's repaints to try that out. I was reading up on the Sukhoi today and it seems there's a 450hp version/conversion too.

Tigisfat, there's a couple VC shots in my pictures showing just the top of the instrument panel (no time to look down when trying to follow another Sukhoi :jump:) I've also hidden the optional aeros routine sketch to maximise view. I'll try to snap some more of the inside tomorrow when I back near my Simming PC, meanwhile I think there's some shots on the Simarket page.

Nick, yes the Dude is perfect for watching the show from ground level, especially with TrackIR, so I dragged him over and he's not complained so far.

The Sukhoi is just brilliant in real life and in sim :ernae:

Well I got some vc shots here, had to get in close which distorts the view a bit, but you can see the detail fairly well.

I like this plane very much. But I got password problem during installation. Simmarket insisted their registration key is correct. Anyone have same password problem? Please let me know. Thanks!

Did you copy the PW details exactly? I mean very exactly. Leave a 'space' in at the end of the PW when you copy - that will throw it off.

Also - check the download file size - it's '34.788.345 Bytes'

Also - try installing with your antivirus tool off / any other programs off as well

...and no, I didn't have any install problems...

Thanks a lot, CBris. I've tried all steps including the way you told. I even have tried to install it in three different PC. I am afraid I won't be able to fly it although I've been flying hundreds paywares with no such passwords problem before. It seems hard to know who has problem. Simmarket just notify me I may receive a refund. But I want to do my last try before giving up. Thanks again!

Two last chances.

One: delete the download. Uninstall the plane completely. Re-download, re-install

Two: Ask Miguel at simmarket if it would be possible to delete this order and re-download with a freshly generated password.

Again, delete everything relating to this install and start clean.

Jetstreamsky what is that scenery/airfield in your original post?

Also could you explain the "Dude". Am I understanding right that you can somehow place him and view from his perspective? If so I need me a "Dude". (That sounds so wrong and is something I never thought I'd say - LoL)

Cool airshow you are putting on by the way and Chris your paints look great as always.

2Low, it's Lilydale in Australia, a freeware airport from ORBX, quality stuff.

Since these pics I also created improved smoke affects to go with the Sukhoi that emanate from the exhaust not behind the aircraft, you can find them here on SOH if you're interested. There's a thread around here somewhere that shows how they look too.

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=4780

The Dude, is that fellow sitting with a beer, it's installed just like an aircraft so you can use him as a viewpoint to watch everything else going on. I recorded the flights with FSRecorder and replayed them while having that beer :ernae:

The EAW Su-26 is still my favourite aerobatic machine, then the Zlin Z-50. Now I'm wondering about the upcoming Yak and how good that'll be :jump:

Thanks for the info. Your smoke affects are nice I'll have to get them and I have to find The Dude too. Off to hunt I go:running:.

Thanks, CBris, Your repaints are beautiful and gorgeous. How do you know "Chinese Petroleum Co."? This is a big semi-government organization located in Taiwan.

About my password, actually I've done the "two last chances". Olaf at simmarket insisted that since they don't have the problem as I described so they will not send me a new re-download link with a freshly re-generated password. I am tired of arguing. So I've chosen a refund so far. But I'll not give up to obtain this beautiful piece. If you do know anyone else who are authorized to sell, please kindly let me know.

I was looking for 'something different' to paint on the Su26 and browsed around until I found a real-world photo that showed this plane. The spelling style is accurate for the European text but I am not sure about the Chinese text - I worked from a poor quality photo. I do hope I am not embarassing someone ;)

kyulin

Absolutely NO, CBris, I love this repaint. First I thought it was a repaint from a real plane, wondered if Chinese Petroleum Co. of Taiwan is the sole patron of a real-life aerobatic team. The Chinese text in the repaint is 100% correct. This enterprise was a monopoly for Taiwan fuel products, including gasoline, natural gas, diesel etc. for more than 50 years. It is still one of the lifeline of Taiwan.

What do you mean not a real world paint? My imagination isn't that good :D This is a real world paint of a real world paint scheme. I also believe it was flown by Svetlana Fedorenko of the Chkalow Flying Club of Russia. Here's a link to one of the Airliners net photos.

http://www.airliners.net/photo/Sukhoi-Su-26.../0680096/L/

I am glad I got the Chinese right too - had to hand draw it - the photos were too rough to vectorise...

Oh my god! I didn't know that. This photo is great. I thought Chinese Petroleum Co., a somewhat conservative big organization, won't do this kind of advertisement. Thank a lot for letting me know this.

Hi Chris,

With the demise of the Avsim library, are your Sukhoi repaints available anywhere else?

Cheers
