Greetings all. I mostly peruse the FSX section, but since TrackIR is now compatible with CFS3 in Vista, I'm going to install it. Before I waste my time with trial and error, can some of you that have been involved with CFS3 clue me in on a proper build-up with the mod's?

Thanks

Leave your CFS3 clean (no addons) and install the ETO expansion. It is an updated CFS3 with new scenery, effects, buildings, and much more. From there you might want to venture into PTO and MAW. These are 3 addons that make separate installs for each theatre. There is so much more for addons for CFS3, but that would be a very good start.
Check for the updates for ETO expansion and PTO also.

If you can get a copy of OFF phase 2 (Over Flanders Fields) install that as well. A great WW1 sim. All of the above mentioned add ons will create a standalone theater using your basic vanilla CFS3 files. That's the reason to keep your original CFS3 install unmodded. Make sure to patch your CFS3 to 3.1a flying each time before applying the next update.
