Remote linked screenshots resized.

I have noticed that resizing of my Photobucket linked screenshots is taking place and the resizing software disorts the image badly. Does this really save bandwidth, or are there still people accessing this site with dial-up?
Seems little point attaching screenshot links as long as this resizing is implimented.

I just direct link but they don't show as popups, simply in the forums
