Just to share this pics...shooted in a certain southamerican country. The last Skyhawks are still flying, despite the frame stress and the lots of hours on their shoulders. Take a look at them, but don't be sad, like someone said "nothing dies but evolves"...
This "parts" comes from USA and Israel. Some of them were complete airplanes, others arrived without the engines nor the avionics, now they are used as spare. The technical stuff is over them all the time, sometimes rebuilding the complete structure with nothing but effort...

...and as we all know, those Pucaras were the spoils of victory! Best way to fill your aviation museum...(inexpensive too) :costumes:

Sadly we only have an Astazou engine from a pucara. There are pucaras at Norfolk and Suffolk (great museum went last year when on holiday) and at Cosford, possibly duxford as well. Its quite funny to think the next astazou off the production line to ours could have gone into a British Jetstream!

btw. picked up a great bargin this afternoon, 2 airfix lightning F.1's one has a two seat conversion in the box as well for £15!!! Normally they fetch £15-30 each on ebay!!!
