Great shots mate, te only thing I don't like about this model is the prop spinner, I think it looks crap

Do you mean the prop animation or the actual model of the propeller?

The Spitfire Mk1 was fitted with two types of spinner, Hamilton and Rotol, short and long. The short spinner shown here is appropriate for the Battle of Britain period. So what's crap exactly?

Ah Martyn its nothing to do with the modeling its just that type of spinner used on this variant, I just think it looks too squat and small kind of spoils the lines of the aircraft for me and I have never liked it even though its accurate! I just think the longer one looks the best on a Spit!

Yes, it does suite the Spitfire Ia "a mon avis", but perhaps not the hurricane.

Take a look at AR213, a beautiful restoration of a mark.1, complete with rotol spinner, and still looking gorgeous

Well I personally don't like that kind, much prefer the later type!
