Hello!
I wonder if one of the talented repainters at SOH is interested in repainting Libardo Guzman's Commando with the colours of N1837M "Hot Stuff" from Everts Air Fuel as seen here:

Best regards

No one is interested?
I thought that someone like Wild Bill kelso could have had a look...

Je suis désolé, mon ami, mais ce avion n'est pas trop intéressant pour moi...

In other words:
This Everts fuel hauler doesn't carry one of the fanciest liveries a Commando could have, doesn't it?
It's just stripped metal...
But to make it even worse:
The blank metal templates available for the C-46 don't look too crisp in my eyes, the whole fuselage had to be re-fitted with a complete new set of blank sheets, built from scratch.

I'm currently collecting material for a possible repaint of the Lufthansa-leased, Capitol-owned N9891Z:

and if I did it and got a new tin suit applied to her, an Everts version may follow...

Salu,
Markus.

That'd be a lot of work, Markus, but I for one would be severely elated to see such a new "Tin Suit" on the Whale.

If it has the LH crane on it I'll "buy" it .... if it comes from Markus' paint shop it is a sure thing.
So we'll have to built another addition to the hangar I guess :D

As for the Evertts Fuel skin....maybe an adaptation of China Doll would be a good enough stand-in until a proper clean skin paint can be made. The biggest hurdle there would be the Nose Art...which is not to clear in the pictures.

It shouldn't escape mention that this bird--N9891Z--eventually became C-faVO, which explains the otherwise odd appearance of the Lufthansa crane on that particular resident of Yellowknife.

N9891Z--eventually became C-faVO...

That's why this gal caught my attraction! :d

btw:
It's said that N9891Z was the only of the several Capitol Commandos Lufthansa had leased that got painted in a (sort of) Lufthansa livery and beared this lettering, just because Lufthansa back then didn't want their name in conjunction with old props! In these years (around 1964-1969), the first generation of Lufthansa aircraft (Convair 440's, Constellations, Starliners) was to be replaced by 707s and 727s. Even the halfway "modern" Vickers Viscount weren't considered as flagships for this airline!
