Hey Fellas! I'm 'trying' to get used to this new OS, and I'm running across a very stubborn and annoying issue. I'm running an ATI 5850, but for what ever reason Vsync won't turn off. I have it set to off in ATI's Control Center, and I've tried the ATI Tray Tools too, and neither of those options have worked.

I also run IL2 '46, and it it does not have a vsync issue going on so I'm suspecting that it's a Direct Draw issue with ATI's drivers.

There's a good possibility that could be the issue.

Yeah I didn't see that. Looks like I'm going to be trying to return the ATI card. What a disappointment...

... and the sad thing is that hardware wise the ATI card has nVidia beat. The 5850 may not be the fastest card but it trades blows with nVidia's GTX470, and it only consumes 158watts. The GTX470 consumes 215. Looks like anything above my 8800GTS 512mb card looks like a complete waste.
