I mentioned the other day that I had to buy a replacement hood for my Nikkor 18-22 mm lens. While on the Adorama web site, they recommended a Lens Coat. I bought one. Here are some pictures of it. It is padded and as a hard insert to protect the lens.
Mine is the large size. I think the small size might be better for just the lens. This will fit over the hood but it isn't a easy off and on. I will see how it works out.
