I am thinking of getting one.

You'll need a new motherboard and memory too,John. Personally I wouldn't bother as your current system seems more than adequate. :)

1156 socket motherboard and ddr3 dual channel 1333 mhz memory...don't forget! That processor is a screamer! This is last processor upgrade for the 1156 socket board and you cannot use any of the i7 920 and above on it! You also cannot use the new six core processors on an 1156 socket board. It truly is an overclocker's delight buddy!!! HOT STUFF just no further upgrade available. If you can live with that it will prolly carry you for at least 2 years of gaming.

I bought one, will be picking up tomorrow; building new rig over the weekend.

I will post some results/thoughts on it later.

Expensive rig, but hopefully worth the upgrade!
