After modifying and saving a texture file using FSrepaint, it doesn't change the original texture file in the aircraft folder or create another file with my mods. I can start up the sim and fly the plane with the new textures I've done, but when I copy the "modified" textures over to one of my other flight sim variations, it turns out to be the original texture. I've also changed the texture file name and CFG of my modified textures, but when I fire up the sim and fly it, low and behold it's the original textures. Does FSrepaint store my mods virtually, and then temporarily overlay them onto the original textures when I try to fly it? It seems that's what's going on. What's the trick to permanently changing the texture file?

I'm a newbie at this painting thing.

OK, figured it out. You have to open as Administrator from the application in Program Files. Right clicking on the shortcut icon won't allow you to open as an administrator. That was frustrating...
