And didn't Little Sebastion looked really pissed!
Could be a decent fight if they get through lap 1 cleanly.
Two Red Bulls and two MacDonalds hotly pusued by two Brawns and Robert Kubica will be entertaining for several laps, and what good job by Petrov!!

You were obviously correct about the tires then Ferry....
(However, we'll never really know who is "the fastest" since one performs better than other depending upon tires & and as you pointed out in the other thread, this year's tires suit Webber...;))

Well not entirely; seems Vettel had some brake problems during his last outing in Q3..

Mercedes is slowly creeping up and I'm getting a sense of deja vu'....from when Ferrari wasn't the best when Schumacher arrived but after a couple of years, Ferrari became a force to reckon with....

The combination Schumacher/Brawn apparently still works.. I doubt if they can get to the level they were with Ferrari before Schumi retires again; but hopefully Rosberg can benefit too in a few years' time..

Their 800th Championship Grand Prix race, and Massa barely manages to out-qualify Vitaly Petrov!
Not even to mention Fernando Alonso, who simply declared the car to be rubbish after falling off the Q3 cut.
Reading between the lines of the other Ferrari statements, I'd say it's probably true.
Still, it makes for a better race when Alonso comes from the back...he has nothing to lose now.

Webber was very 'diplomatic' at the post race interview.
I think Vettel needs to step back, breathe and stop believing the media hype.
The 'Next Schumacher' rubbish is probably on the cards but a year or three away.
He's probably one of the quickest drivers out there, but he's not too smart.
:173go1:
I imagine Webber will 'remind' him of the wet Japanese GP a couple of years ago when Vettel (STR) T-boned Webber (RBR) out of a probable podium place.
Canada will be interesting.

Having not seen the race,
I'll leave the "fault" to Team RBR to decide......

However, I found this to be interesting in reference to Vettel's poor qualifying performance...
--> http://en.espnf1.com/f1/motorsport/story/18806.html (http://en.espnf1.com/f1/motorsport/story/18806.html)

I'd say that Webber is definitely the most mentally strong of the two, and this will server Webber well for the duration of the season....

Flashbacks of McLaren/Senna/Prost :ques:...We shall see!

I hope Vettel sees the video abd owns up to his stupid move. I know he thought he had the speed and probably copuld have passed, but he misjudged his move and turned right into Webber, taking him off of the top podium. I am glad he survived and finished third despite Vettels' idiot move. I am sure the chewing out will not be as bad if he owns up to the error in his ways. Took his team out of the Constructor's Championship.

Lewis and Jenson got a little testy not long afterward too, I am glad someone straightened that out.

Of all of the newer circuits, Turkey is one of the better, I like tracks with elevation changes and that run counter-clockwise.

Check the speed.com link above, Vettel's own team backs up Sebastian over Webber....

When the Red Bulls collided, I thought "Oh no, Webber, you klutz! Whyn't you get out of the way".
Then I ran the replay over and over, and you could see Webber resolutely driving his racing line.
Vettel was the one who jinked right, and made the connection.
I thought "Sebastian, you klutz! Why'd you run into Mark!"
Martin Brundle called it the same way.

Now the RBR team is edging the other way!

It's a tough sport, you have to have a really cool head in the midst of all that red mist...

Loved the 2 McLarens then having a go at each other - I think they got the bollocking of their lives from the team bosses.
"Fuel critical" over team radio must be code for "try this one more time and your contract is up for renegotiation!" :)

I suspected as much last year about Vettel, now he's confirmed it. Very fast at the wheel...but not much more than anoughter brainless leadfoot. Not content with smashing himself out of the points he took his own team down a peg to.

Off topic...hey Wombat, in case you missed the advert's Ten's "One HD" channel is starting the 2010 Isle of Man TT replays this Friday (I think). Really enjoyed that stuff last year.

Poor ol' Mark Webber, he thought he had it good for a while there.

Well,
If Webber continues to out-perform Vettel, perhaps things will change at the RBR ownership level....

Last I heard the team had told Webber to go into a fuel conservation mode first and followed up with the same message to Vettel.
Vettel appears to have decided he had to make a move on Webber right then or it would be all over............as it indeed was!!
As for the future, Vettel is 'German', Mako is 'Austrian' (and an F1 dud FWIW) so the probable outcome is obvious.
:censored:

And a PS: Dem, as well as the IOM (can't wait!!!) One HD have live coverage of Le Mans listed, so my better half will be 'away' for that weekend!!!
