Fantastic article Panther, I learned some stuff today. The human eye actually gathers images in 1/24th of a second image, that's why 24 to 25 frames per seconds is a good frame rate for flight sim if your processor can load and keep this fps even and steady. We amateur astronomers have to adjust our settings for time lapse (Bulb settings) and get it just right or we'll get washout, too little and it's all shadow.

I like a lower ISO in amateur astronomy, so there is not much digital noise, for photomicroscopy, I use a higher ISO, as I often need to shot at a speed of 1/60th or more to capture one-celled protozoan.
