I've been wanting to check out the scenery for Cahimbo Air Base in Brazil since DL'ing when it came out. Sitting at Roberts Intl, Cayman Islands a couple of days ago. I decided to plot out the flight to the heart of the Amazon.

So I told the default FSX Flight Planner to make me a VOR>VOR route from MWCR>SBCC and this is what came out the other end.

44 VOR waypoints and 22.5 hours in a C-130, which I'm using for the flight. Using Active Sky Evolution, which the picture below is from, is telling me with the current weather, flight level and speed, that it will take 29.5 hours.

Too cool of a route to pass up. :)

I've seen many bad routes generated by FSX, but this one is a contender for the first prize. :icon_lol:

My worst one was an intra-US flight which was routed to the North Pole first and then to the destination.

That's why I use online flight generating tools for airliner flights. They're usually 100% accurate.
