I have a great new quad core system based on the good advice of yourself and the other experts in these forums.

The card I have is an ATI 4870 512mb and it runs every sim and game great.

I am new to ATI cards and have been unable to get rid of some shimmer in FSX.

I you have time could you post your card settings in CCC and FSX to see if I can reduce the shimmer.

Just spotted there is a new driver out today over at uguru3d, Catalyst 8.11.

I will post more help later if you still have a problem but this ought to do ya:
http://www.flightsimworld.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=115815 and I use ATI TRAY TOOLS but it can be done with CCCCatalyst. Also load your monitor software you can do alot with it too. Gotta run
