That's very colourful... Not my taste but I'm sure it will sell!

Kinda reminds me of the VW polo Harlequin that was sold here about fifteen years ago:

No it's not a wrecked car with replacement parts from other Polo's; this is how it rolled off the production line!

Edit: Nothing wrong with black, but I wouldn't mind if Canon would bring back the optional silver. My first 3000N SLR was silver. Kinda liked that!

Only in Japan...

Which is why I think it will do good sales wise there....:)

Not to my taste, even though I am a Pentax man.

I am becoming more and more interested in the Olympus EPL-1 Pen camera you showed in a previous post.

I'm really beginning to like my E-PL1 Cazz....Something to keep in mind though, the E-P2 comes bundled with the view finder

I'll have to look into that, Having only one good eye and not liking LED displays, I find it easier to compiose a photo with a view finder.

I'm not really sure what the folks at Pentax are on about with those crayon-box K-X models.
We've only get a few colors available here in the states but the choices on the Japanese market are just crazy! This rainbow one has got to be the wildest one yet. EEEK!!!

Pentax has been known to do some creative schemes on their older bodies too...albeit in limited edition runs.
My first K1000SE was one of the fairly common brown leatherette models (as opposed to basic black). But their wildest one was the brown lizard skin and 18k gold LX made to celebrate the ten millionth Pentax/Asahi camera.

If those wild colors grab a few new shooters that otherwise wouldn't go with just a plain ole DSLR instead of one of the peacock-colored point-n-shoots, then I guess it might be worth it as a way to get new shooters into the hobby.

I'll stick with basic black when I get my K-X though.......

:d

I remember seeing one of these soon after they were launched.

VW had previously produced a Beetle/Bug during the 70's. They also produced a Mk3 Golf and VW Vento Harlekin.
