Hi Folks

fsdeveloper.com - Website Status: inactive (http://www.fsdeveloper.com/)

Normally Arno (http://msmvps.com/blogs/arnogerretsen/) or Nick (http://msmvps.com/blogs/thenakedmvp/Default.aspx) post on their blogs.
Nothing yet.

Don't know if this is related -

ICANN and transit providers have recently being taking action against malware & spam domain registrars.

The upstream providers for McColo (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/11/12/mccolo_goes_silent/) & EstDomains (http://www.icann.org/en/announcements/announcement-2-28oct08-en.htm)
have just pulled the plug on their connectivity.

All their valid reg'd domains have to be transferred to other registrars.

Anyone else noticed their spamcount had dropped significantly yesterday ? :jump:

Joker.com, (aka CSL Computer Service Langenbach GmbH),
where fsdeveloper's reg'd & nameservered
had also been targeted (http://www.icann.org/en/compliance/newsletter/)for action.
They've got > 600,000 domains.

Whatever the reason,
hope we get access back soon.

Thanks Paul for the update. I hope all goes well with getting back online.

I recently changed over to InMotion. They have a ton of new servers, top of the line.

Hi Folks

Arno's just posted in his blog (http://msmvps.com/blogs/arnogerretsen/).
It's probably entirely unrelated to my previous posted info. :icon_lol:

Yes, last week I was getting hundreds per day, since yesterday I am getting spam only from about three sites including lanset.com and aplus.net.

I am so tired of spam... I would get 600 a day on one mail service, and 200 a day on another. Thats on a regular day, lol.. spam has really damaged the email side of the internet severely.

Hi Folks

Unrelated to above McColo etc.

A while ago -

I used to get > 1,500 / day on one account,
and about 800 / day on another. :banghead:

All incoming were to support addresses
published on client's websites.

Also to another set of dedicated traceable addresses from back in '94.

Seemingly addresses were collated to a database,
then distributed amongst the spammers.

For anyone still experiencing spam -
Popcorn (http://www.ultrafunk.com/products/popcorn/) email client is a wonderful tool,
allowing you to optionally download the headers only,
and delete unwanted spam directly from the server.

N.B.
It's no longer actively supported, updated or developed.

Hi Folks

Gera -
Just for info.

Problem with SpamFighter is
all it does is still download all your spam
and then just stores it in a seperate folder.

If you're getting 1500 / day,
many of which have attachments,
then spamfighter is of little use,
(unless your ISP has installed the server version).

Popcorn allows you to delete unwanted emails directly from the server,
without having ever to download their content.

I use Mailwasher Pro with reporting links to Spamcop. It allows you to see the mail (ex attachments and pictures) but does not download anything.
