I was rolling down the road today and a strange bird cought my attention. 747? Naa. Its bigger. Wow a Galaxy? Naa it's white with a light blue tail. As it came closer on final it had a familiar silouette, Russian? When I looked it up it was an AN 124 with the words Antonov Design Bureau on the tail. Some kind of international cargo outfit, today coming to KMSP. A rare sight indeed.

Red Fred!
There's one even bigger, it's big brother!
If you see that one, then you've truly see a very rare, indeed unique, aircraft. I have to give the Russians credit for creating large cargo aircraft. They've made some very good ones over the years.

They have been coming thru MSP a lot this last week. In this particular case they have been using us as a stop going to MCAS El Centro and then back to RAF Brize Norton. They sound really different. I wish I could properly describe it.
