Hi all !
Is there any fix for the propdisc on Sea Hurricane IB By Robert Sanderson ?
I have trying to change the "hurri_prop file" from other aircraft, but I still have a black disc viewing from the
cockpit. I´m want to use the airplane in FSX+acceleration.

If you have a copy of 'DXTBmp' you can load the prop texture (back it up first) and export the Alpha channel to any editor, even a freebie like IrfanView. Darken the alpha image by about 50% - I just reduce the brightness by that amount. Save the new alpha then re-import it back into DXTBmp. Save the prop texture with its new darker alpha channel back to the texture folder. You might have to do this a couple of times to get the right level of transparency. It works (sometimes) because in SP2 and acceleration, darker alpha channels = more transparent. Hope that makes sense, I probably made it sound more complicated than it is.

Hi
SpaceWeevil
Thanks for the reply.
Well - I downloaded and install the DXTBmp and I have the editor as Paint Shop pro 7.
Load the proptex file to dxtbm and chose paint shop as editor.
But I can´t export alpha cannel to the editor, cant´t find the pp.exe.
When I chose send to editor, it´s work. But I´m not able to find out what to do next.
The propdisk looks fine exterior.
Well it´s a first time ever I´m trying to alter textures.

Denny,
If you attach the prop bmp (zip it up) I'll darken the alpha for you.
Roger.

Hi Denny,
Can you copy the bitmap from the texture folder and then zip it up and then attach it? The thumbnail you attached is a jpeg and contains no alpha channel.

Hi Denny,
I've attached the prop with darkened alpha but the alpha was already pretty dark!
I wonder if your FsX is the original without SP1 or SP2/acceleration?

At last we have trying. Tanks for your work.
