Cool, but I have to wonder about that prop!

It's the Lyons' original, so lets remember that no changes have been made for changes sake. It's a faithful conversion, with full permission and great work from Craig!:wiggle:

Ahh...I guess the PM about donating a prop won't fly then, but the offer stands.

Thanks and I guess that a little whittlin' on that prop wouldn't be amiss.

The airport btw is of course Bill Womack's Plum Island.

Argh!

Not only did I not recognize the modeling heritage...I also criticized it!
Bill Lyons was (and still is) one of the greats in this hobby.

I humbly beg forgiveness from the Flight Sim community for my actions in this matter.

Cool, looks like my type of plane...slow and not too many gauges to confuse me! :wiggle:

I'll second that. I bought almost all of Bill's models, they were excellent. I was hoping someone would convert them to FSX. Where might we find this one? :jump:

Would save me a lot of work.....

@ N2056, the prop was just a test prop and i will update it with the original once released.

@ Rob, i plan to convert all of the custom classics apart from the Graf and the business jet as requested by mr Bill Lyons. I have other projects on my list to do aswell so there are no release dates for the planes, myself or Roger will keep everyone upto date.

Wow, great!

I'd love to see native FSX version of Lyons Goose. It was much more immersive than default FSX one.

Don't see why you need forgiveness. You gave (constructive) criticism, which could improve the model if work was done to it. Doesn't matter who built it, nobody is perfect.

Agreed! But Robert is a gentleman and gave a gentleman's response:ernae:

It's great to see Bill Lyon's work live on in FSX! He was ahead of his time in flight simulation! I am glad he has found another hobby he enjoys. He gave us so much!

Hi Italo,
It could be some time as Craig wants to get it flying as best as possible in order to do credit to Bill's creation, which I greatly admire him for.

It will be great to fly the Silvaire once again out of KORS like in the FS9 days.
Glad to see with this FSX native conversion and the OrbX addons that will be a reality at some point.

I hope the Quad City Challenger II is on the "To Do" list as well, someday.
The TravelAir too.

All of Bill's addons just made you want to fly them over and over.
In fact I'd break away from flying rotorcraft for a Bill Lyons FSX conversion. :icon_lol:
Thanks Craig! :applause:

Thanks heaps for reviving these. I always liked flying Bill's stuff, even a/c types I didn't have any real interest in. (I practically lived in his Goose) Anyone know what happened to the FSX Mallard he was working on? Saw shots prior to FSX release -then nothing. Hope he is well and enjoying life.:salute: :jump:

This is great news!

I have all of Bill's FS9 planes. The Luscombe was one of my favorites along with the Travelair and the Tripacer. It is great to see some of his work migrate to FSX in full glory. Thanks to Graig and all involved in this project.
