I can't run live update on my computer. I am connected to the web and I can geton pretty much any site I like to visit. But when I run live update to get updates it says that it can't connect to the symantec server and that I should check my connection.

Granted I don't keep my computer always connected to the net, and I have found if I plug in the ethernet cable after I have boot up and everything is loaded Norton Antivirus enables like it should and I don't get that Gigabyte driver error either.

I have tried shutting down my firewall and Norton antivirus, but still no dice. I can get virus updates by going to their site, but what if other parts of Norton need updating? Now what?

My NAV just had some kinda program update.

Are you running newer software 2004, 2005? Is your subscription upto date?

Might have to uninstall and reinstall it.

yeah I did do that, and I guess now Norton and I see alittle eye to eye. I want to run LiveUpdate, it wants my firewall to be put down to do it. Which is fine since I can up the wall right away.

You should be able to give the firewall permission to allow that there update site to do it's stuff just like any other website.

I know I know, every oner has tolled me the same thing. But ya see my firewall is a bit of a bull dog, I am its owner, but it doesn't even follow my orders! It just bites at everything that gets near what it is protecting. And ya know, ya can't really complain about that too much now can ya? :costumes:
