Superb addon - thank you :salute:

Just one small request, does anyone know how to stop the refuelling window appearing each time I switch views?

Thanks

Where did you get that tanker please?

There's a download link for the KC-135 if you follow the above fsdreamteam link

http://flightsim.com/file.php?cm=SEARCH1&fsec=0&fname=KC-135T2.ZIP

Does anyone else get the refuelling gauge popping up every time you switch views, or is it just me?

Hi Dave, this is unusual - the gauge should not pop up on each view (when you change the view with the 'S' key). Actually it disappears when you start cycling views and get back to your VC view - then you have to press Shift+8 again to see it. This is what happens with all my 2d gauges, e.g. the GPS or the Radio Stack Panel.

Hi neutrino,

Yes, very unusual indeed... I'm going to try the gauge in another aircraft later and see if it does the same. Thanks for your comments.

Same problem here in IRIS_F-20
But with Mir2000-5-Rollus and IRIS_F-14 all function without any problem

.......................

Can I add and use the KC-135 with AiCarriers2? How?

I don't know if this is going to work, but you can put this line in your [Window07] section in the panel.cfg file (this should be the window section of the refueling gauge):

visible=0

You can put the line anywhere after [Window07].

With AICarriers2 you can only call boats, so you will not be able to spawn a KC-135.

No, but there is another tool that should work: "Formation Flight Toys" from http://www.mudpond.org.

Sounds like it's time to fire up the multiplayer sessions and start practicing probe and drogue. I have a feeling that multi-engine pukes are about to get real popular.

I have used this utility before but I had this problem - the AI aircraft was flying at a steady altitude and speed, however it was constantly pitching up and down - a couple of degrees. It was really strange.

I lose 15~ frames with this small add-on!

that has nothing to do with the fuel gauge, just seems to be .ai planes. I believe there was a tweak at one time, if it is a dedicated .ai craft I am sure there is a tweak. As for the gauge killing your FPS that should not happen, otherwise you would have no FPS just flying regular planes and using there gauges.

Tim, we were referring to the "Formation Flight Toys" utility, not the refueling gauge :)

I seem to have the same AI behavior and the greater the speed the greater the change in altitude but I'll fly more flights to see if this program is more useful.

There is a very nice tutorial how to create flight plans with AI Flight Planner on the VRS forum:

Does any of you guys use the COP3 gauge (Carrier Operation Package) ?

I use with IRIS F-20 and IRIS F-14, and deleted the refueling gauge

My idea was that if you used the refueling gauge on an aircraft that also had the COP3 gauge - this is why the refueling gauge pops up on every view. The COP3 gauge keeps one of its windows (the COP3 control panel) always open, and my gauge has the same ident as the COP3 window. So the problem is very easy to fix - in the panel.cfg simply change the ident of the refueling gauge from "ident=10080" to "ident=10180" and that's it - the refueling gauge will appear only when you call it :)

Yes neutrino I use the COP3 gauge, and I'd have never spotted the window ident duplication... :isadizzy:

Thanks very much for the work around :salute:

Hi neutrino,

Loving the refuelling gauge and the KC-135... I wonder if I could make a request? My buddies and I use the David Maltby AI VC-10 with the visible drogues for refuelling. Is it possible to reconfigure the gauge so that we can refuel from either drogue position on the VC-10?

There is a new KC-135T Stratotanker with NAVY drogue (basket) for FSX that you can download from here, it's the best to refuel and easiest to install in my opinion:
http://www.flightsim.com/file.php?cm=SEARC...navy_drogue.zip (http://www.flightsim.com/file.php?cm=SEARCH1&fsec=89&fname=kc135t_navy_drogue.zip)
