Well, I had planned to drive to EHAM today but all flight are grounded due to the cloud of volcanic ash currently covering Europe; my second plan was to drive the other way and get me a Canon 100-400 L Lens but it is not in stock, so I had to divert to my third plan: Visit the Amersfoort zoo, a small but interesting zoo in the centre of Holland. I visited this place only once before, a few years ago.

Brown bear:

Apparently this is the king of the animals, but..

This looks terrifying, but this Cape Hyrax (Or Rock Hyrax) was just yawning:

Asian small-clawed otter:

Thanks Chacha.

Last ones for now:

This is how a Hyrax normally looks like; Hard to believe it's closest living relative is the African Elephant!:

An Australian Blue-tongue skink, you can tell where it got it's name from:

A Dwarf Crocodile (Osteolaemus tetraspis):

Give me a zoo with Tigers and Reptiles and my camera and I can keep busy all day long! :d

that last Tiger don't look too interested in anything, "I've eaten, i've drank, think i'll nap", i love taking photos of Meerkats, they always seem intrugued by their reflection in the lens... this guy takes it too Far... i see a meerkat these days and i'm reminded of the 'Compare the market/meerkat" TV Ad here in the UK...
