Apple iPad Banned in Israel

Hey all,


Israel has banned the Apple iPad from coming into their country until certifications are cleared concerning its wireless system.

Evidently the unit has a very powerful WiFi bandwidth capability and overtakes surrounding WiFi units, instead of being on a 'even' level transmission bandwidth, (or something of that nature).

Some were able to get their iPads into the country just before the ban became official. People coming into the country at airports immediately have them confiscated..

That would be a bummer.... arrgh.

Suicide bombers possibly. If the ipad WiFi can overpower all in the vicinity it could become a very powerful device.

Its minor actually. Has something to do with the Freq. being to powerful on the WiFi com system. Overpowers other things like cell phones and all.
