Does anyone know if there is a Cripes a Mighty repaint for the A2A P51D? I have searched and only found versions for FS9.

And while i am at it: is the P51c from Warbirdsim worth the money? It looks really good but i have not seen any reviews of it.

Just bought the warbirdsim P-51b,c for FSX tonight so far so good.
More info after I get more flight time in.
Lot of clickable goodies good sound clear textures.
Checking for dx10 compatability.
PS The malcom hood b,c model Mustang was always my favorite.

Just look for FSX Add-ons, Skins category from bruce448 (http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/member.php?u=57158), and you will have look at what is waiting you with the P-51B, there are also P-51D repaints in the Add-on Archive section...from JANKEES
I'm only painting for CFS3 but the P-51B/C is my prefered hobbie at this time.

All the best

Glad to receive such comments, Note I'm still doing other repaints and it's hard for me to find
original models that are still not available in FSX, even if I consider them as a good source of inspiration. :jump:

Wish you all the best

There were paints done of both Major Preddy's P-51D's for the Wings of Power Mustang by Bomber_12th and by Jankees; none of these appear to be currently available. As far as I can tell there are no such repaints for the WOPII Mustang; I'd do one myself but the artwork is beyond my very limited skills.

Hope you've bought the B/C model from Warbirdsim - it truly is a work of art, and the repaints by Jankees and others just make for even more of a great purchase.

I got the pony-painting bug again and thought I'd try an A2A WOPII Cripes A'Mighty paint with the help of Mark Styling at markstyling.com (http://www.markstyling.com/). This is an early WIP shot; lots to do yet. The prop conveniently hides the distorted kill marks!! The scenery is Ian Parker's RAF Bodney BTW.

Oh yeah? Ooo the 'eck's he, then? :a1310:

(Sorry. Couldn't resist that smiley...)

I have a 1:72nd version of Maj. Preddy's original "Cripes A Mighty" in front of me (414906) - unfortunately a) my painting sucked when I did it and b) it's rather too small to photograph, or I'd send you a shot of the teeny weeny noseart.

I actually have an AI file for Bodney if you want it - the more Blue Noses the merrier as far as I'm concerned! I'll certainly take it once you're happy to let us mere mortals play. :d

I was looking at doing a P-51B set as well, but I only have about 4 repaints with Blue Noses, so it would get very repetitious.

Cheers!

And...i have bought the P51B/C from Warbirdsim from their site but i am still wainting for the download link which probably will come very soon, but the waiting is hard.

Thanks to everyone who have answered my questions!

Nearly ready now - will put out later this week.

One problem - I can't seem to match the font for Major Preddy's name on the cockpit rail; just have to go with the best I can find.

Uploaded here and at Flightsim.com. I managed to find a photo of the cockpit rail that I could use for the name but I don't consider it clean enough to recreate Kermit Weeks' 45-11507. I've also dispensed with the fin ID stripe as that appears to have gone by the late summer of 1944. Also I don't know if 44-13321 ever sported the field-applied fin fillet while Major Preddy was flying it, though it did later.

Chr*st I need to get a life..................!!:kilroy:
