You do this by putting disk #1 of FSX into youe DVD Drive...It will then autorun and then just select it to do a repair.

To rebuild the FSX config you simply delete the ole one, and FSX will build a new one next time its launched...

The path to the FSX config differs in XP and Vista or Win7

O.K., I have XP I put in the #1 disc, but it wants to "reinstall" the whole program.

Makes no difference what OS you have....

If FSX is installed and running properly, that means its regestered properly in the OS regestry...

As you say it wants to completely reinstall FSX, then it has to be so corrupt that its wacked..

Just what is wroug with FSX? Does it even run?
