I stumbled across the release notice of this scenery package (check here (http://www.forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?showtopic=34209))
and thought that it would make for an interesting environment.
Well, with real world weather you're lucky to see it at all, talk about bad weather..this is what they call nice weather.

I must say though, that I am disappointed. The area is relatively small, so you run into default textures really quick, just across the bay:

and if you get close, the textures get really blurry:

I just bought new contacts, but was thinking of going back to the optician...

On the ground, it is just not very good I fear...

The resolution of the photoreal textures is just not good enough, well, for me anyway, other may like it.

So, if you like your ftx-like quality scenery, steer clear of this one.
On the other hand, if you like a challenging landing, this one can be fun.

Just my opinion, mind!

That looks like Virtual Earth textures. 10 minutes with SBuilderX produced this

Another couple of hours to produce the coastlines and it would look very similar.

And another few minutes to place the objects with an instant scenery tool ;) At least that's how the scenery looks on this picture:

Yes, I have to admit that I am not very impressed by this scenery. Normally, Aerosoft delivers much better quality...

Greetings
Tim

Looks like Tig got to it before me...

Does it have the Northwestern? Time Bandit? Any of the ships from the show? :kilroy:

My thoughts exactly after watching it's progress in the AS forums, glad I am not alone.
