For anyone who missed the release, because I did. Looks good! :jump:

I believe if you got DCS Black Shark that you can join each other online.

Looks like only the SU-25 has the advanced flight model.........I won't be buying purely for that reason. I want good flight modelling for the Eagle and A-10 for me to take the plunge.

Does it have that awful STARFORCE protection? If so then no sale here, I have Flaming Cliffs 1 and it wont work on my W7 64 even though they claim a patch. :-(

Wonder if it will make use of Multicore computers..?

It's the new Starforce without drivers installed to your PC. Flaming cliffs works fine on my W7 64bit. You just have to install the fix from starforce web site.

I was a Flanker 1.x and 2.x junky, but never cared for the Flaming Cliffs helicopter deal and dropped the flightsim altogether. This release looks more of what I expected for the Flanker 2.x junkies as an upgrade. I'll be checking it out this payday too....:salute:

EDIT: Welp, since it's an upgrade, you need to have one of the previous installs still sitting on your HD, which I do not. I removed that years ago. I found my original LOMAC box, but there is no CD-ROM inside. :bump:

I think I'll wait till they box this thing as a true standalone product.

Argh, I just went through the Install and upgrade, I think I did it wrong, but you are correct, I got the update from starprotect, and it is working on my Windows 7 64bit -

Cheers -

Is the $30 Us download stand alone?

I am going to have to pass on this unless it gets some great feedback. I have supported them on all their previous projects but I spent more time fighting with the clunky control setups, graphics isues and overall frustration. A-10 may push me over the edge and hopefully by then even more of the rough edges will be fleshed out. At least I will be frustrated in english and understand what in the hell I am getting angy at. ha
