help with IRIS Phantom skin

hi guys,
just downloaded and installed the FG-1 Phantom payware from IRIS.
having meanwhile found a navy skin developed for this model I tried to install in the usual way: first textures in the aircraft folder then edit the cgf file adding the proper lines after giving the first available fltsm number (.1 in this case after the .0 of the original aircraft.
Nothing happened, in the menu only the original: no matter what i did with the cgf file, the new skin never appeared....
is there something I am missing?

in the new texture folder is there a thumbnail of the paint in question ?

I have also had this problem, make sure you are indeed applying the texture to the right models!

see no thumbnail....
and to anwer to peter, yes, the model is the right one
