Hello!:wavey:

The "Ma Deuce" jeep is almost ready to go. Here's a preview;

3933

During my research, I have found that jeep carrying an H2MB 50 cal MG normally carried four ammo boxes; one in the feeding rack, three somewhere else. My jeep will carry five boxes, for a total of 525 rounds (105 per box). In QC, this was enough to knock down 4 or 5 a/c. Two versions of the DP file will be available; with or without TG2.

This is why I have decided to depict these boxes, a work still to come.

I would like to know from the local SOH experts where to put them. My idea is to place them in basket type racks right and left on the sides of the rear, just in front of the tool boxes. If anyone has pictures showing ammo boxes placement, I would gladly look at them. Meanwhile, I will pursue my idea.

Your thoughts...:kilroy:

I realize that this is probably blasphemous to you,
but have you considered asking over at the CFS 2 forum?
there are many more "experts" there than here.

BTW, she looks fantastic.
well done

just a thought...
maybe if she was made available for CFS 2,
it would spark more interest
and maybe more assistance.
just a thought

Vade retro Satana!:angryfir: but seriously...
I see no reason for the jeep not to show properly in CFS2. It is simply a question of adaptation like any a/c.

Is there a way to duplicate a thread? I can post there with a link to here. Wadayathink?

I don't know how to duplicate threads from one forum to another.
it's most likely an Admin privilege that I don't have.

a link would work, but if it was me,
I would start a whole new thread over there,
making it more personal for the CFS 2 bunch.
but it's up to you.

I went for an in-between solution; an original thread with links to CFS1 thread and add-ons. I don't want to «spread» all over the place.

BTW- I'm presently testing Mozilla Firefox version 2.0.0.20, and, so far...:jump:

IE6 was getting to be a pain in the ... you know where. I couldn't get the SOH editor to work properly. Posting pictures was like ... well ... impossible. Photobucket and ImageShack had also changed their interfaces... and were no longer working!

And all that with the reminders, going from humored to downright insulting, telling me to get a new browser, all of them being incompatible with W98SE of course!

The message are still there, but without the aggravations...:kilroy:

god forbid that you might have a system that works
and you are happy with it.
of course you realize that you are not contributing to the business model,
hence, "they" are a little miffed with you.
could be worse though,
you could have jumped on the vista bandwagon.

I believe the unit being discussed here is still in the development stage.
the link above is for the unarmed version.
be aware that it is a CFS1 model
and will have to be upgraded for CFS2.
that said, she's still a beauty!

Hubbabubba isn't the only one still on W98SE. My development machine (Pentium 233MMX) is still there but now I am running into hardware problems. Memory and drive have intermittent errors. I have a second W98SE machine but don't have it fully set up for development.

The hell with it!:angryfir:

I'm feeling like driving a Ford Model T on the highway... with a NOX-boosted engine!

Firefox really did wonders. I had to plead with wife and daughter to install it (they feared it would kill IE6 and all their beloved favorites and passwords), and finally did it anyway in the middle of the night without their consent. What can I say, I love living dangerously...:kilroy:

The ultimate irony is that I had paid my humble contribution to SOH, only to realize that one of the consequences was that IE6 would no longer cope with the "new-and-improved" site!:banghead:

So far, Mozilla Firefox version 2.0.0.20 is giving me a "stay of execution".

Hi Hubbahubba, very nice jeep.

btw, i am STILL using IE6 and proud of it. I can still use IMage shack, and other places that try to make you change but i refuse to. I have found what works for me and plan to stay with it, i am not going to be hurried along by the sales machine and marketeers.

thanks for doing this great vehicle and if it happens in CFS2 that will be great also. thanks again.

The "Ma Deuce" jeep is now up for grab in the CFS1 "others" downloads section.

Have fun with it!:jump:
