View Full Version : A2A, what's next?

Akatsuki

Now that what it seem to be another masterpiece is out, namely the B-17, what is going to come out of A2A's hat next?
The Mustang? The Dora? The Phantom? Or an accusimed Corsair? Maybe something else?
Those four would do more than pleasing me but if i had to pick just one out i would choose the Phantom.
Which of these are you guys waiting for the most?
And maybe Scott and/or Lewis could tell us what they have planned next for us?:jump:

I know A2A's niche, but I think a modern aircraft that utilizes a crew would be perfect for Alphasim. If they released an accusim 777 they'd be in the pay dirt. We are lacking one and commercial/GA outsells military. I'd love an Accusim modern bomber, airlifter or fighter though.

I could easily help make an accusim B-1, and Kolin has a model complete....

I believe they have the Accusim P-51 next on their list. They may surprise us with something in the meantime though. I too, would like to see an Accusim'd modern plane. The Cub is getting closer, but not quite there.

An Accusim tube would be an epic fail. I know a lot of people love to spend their time flying these monsters from point A to point B for hours on end, but the majority, I feel, enjoys moving slightly faster over shorter ranges.

It would be an epic fail huh? It would sell more than all of their other accusim packages combined. Easily.

Many SOH members may not like the t00bs, but they sell.

Personally, I want to see an Accusim Bonanza and Accusim T-6. There still isn't a T-6 out that meets my needs (wants). I'd settle for a T-28 though.

I'm praying it's the Phantom.

I feel like there have only been a few top quality military jets made for FSX.

Aerosoft F-16, Lotus L-39, VRS F/A-18E (comes out on the 8th)

Granted there are many great FSX jets, they don't fall into the above category of detail/performance.

I have to admit I have been among the tube haters but only because I never owned a payware tube. Since getting the Captain Sim 727, I have had a change of heart. I to would like to see an accusim jet tube, but the P-40 is my first and best choice. I used to live down the block from Tex Hill the famous AVG pilot. His stories of the P-40 and the AVG always got my blood pumping! An Accusim P-40 would make even OL' Tex's heart leap. I miss the old man...Godspeed Tex

Keep it multi-propellery. They are far more interesting aircraft and by their nature allow Accusim to replicate so much more in terms of controls, systems, failures etc than jets.

Transports: DC-4, C-46, C-119

Military: B-29, B-24 / PB4Y-2, Lancaster

Be the king of vintage prop-jobs, A2A.

I'd like to see to see a new P-51D. maybe with a clickable option that allows you to choose for a modern day pilot or WWII era pilot. And as a nice surprise a backseat passenger that screems when you do aerobatics?

How about a generic AccuSim package .. that can be added to any airplane model ? Or maybe AccuSim packages designed for exisiting, popular models ?

I, for one, would pay upwards of $1,000 for a 'user programmable' Accusim, that I could fit to my favorite models. :wiggle:

A quick reply to Brett_Henderson's idea of a generic Accusim.

I worked at the SF office of Domark software back in the mid 90's. They were the publishers of Flight Sim Toolkit, which was suppose to be a software package that allowed folks to build their own flight simulator. When I first started working there I asked about FST and how well it had done. Not very well and a huge customer support nightmare was the answer. I imagine the same results would happen with a Accusim toolkit.

Hope this isn't too off-topic:
There is a freeware toolkit for upgrading helicopter flight dynamics at hovercontrol.com called HTR. There are already config files that make the default FSX helos much more realistic and people are working on other popular pay and freeware helos. Not up to dodosim standards, but still very good. Of course an accusim toolkit would be several orders of magnitude more complicated!

Paul , You should have checked out inside the New Zealand Flight Sim tent during the Tauranga Airshow , the Electra 10 with so many bells and whistles is incoming , .... but

Guys Guys , people , enjoy the B17 for starters but please let the team complete the A2A Phantom , this is the primary , we have P40s and Corsairs coming out our ears .

Before i get back to some scenery , its time to fly , a force landing from Tauranga in the B17 put me in Taupo , to much site seeing with VLC .

And I was so hoping that the P-40 would be next. It's such an under-rated aeroplane. And everyone flew it .... the British, Australians, New Zealanders, Soviets, Chinese and the Americans. It was arguably the most widely used fighter of the war by the Allies.

April 5th, 2010, 19:05
Mmm Beech Staggerwing - a round engine Stinson or Waco would also be very nice but the list of aircraft is getting BIG...

Whilst not 1930s vintage; to speed the Accusimming process up, what about partnering with Carenado and Accusimming all the Carenado aircraft?

Not much point reinventing the wheel if A2A decide to take on more GA stuff beyond the J-3 Cub ... I would gladly pay for a Accusimed Carenado Beechcraft Bonanza, Piper Archer or Cessna 185.

I have to agree about the Cub. When it was first mentioned I told myself I wasn't going to buy it. After seeing Scott and Cody's videos though I had to try out all of the new features for myself. I must say that I was not disappointed at all with my purchase. I say let them do what aircraft they are passionate about. Ultimately that is what will result in the best products. Cause it is hard to get up everyday, and work on making an aircraft you do not like as opposed to one you like. I say now the only 2 I intend on buying is the P-51 and F-4.. I know that the features that will be offered in the Me-109 and others though will probably have me buying them as well though. I just can't wait to see what kind of turn Accu-sim takes going forward. Kind of had minor progressions going from the 377 to P-47. The Cub got Heidi, and a couple more features.. So far the B-17G seems like they have taken a huge leap forward with the maitenance hangar, and the electric & hydraulic systems.
