PTO - Quick Combat - Daytime only

While I am on a roll of asking questions..................

When in Quick Combat in PTO, regardless of whether I select Dawn, Morning, Afternoon, Dusk or Night I only get to fly QC during the daytime.

Does anyone know why?

For me the only time I get night lighting conditions in PTO is when I select Afternoon. All the others show up as daytime.
