What a cool aircraft, just reinstalled the Mitsubishi T2 and took it for a spin, when I first got this ages ago I didn't really like it, but now I think its really fun! Reminds me a lot of the Sepecat Jaguar, maybe because the Japanese copied it?:salute:

The T-2 and F-1 were more than just copies.

Anyways, I wish there were more repaints for those birds, even if they were just fictional.

I loved it in Fs9, was a great ride.

BTW, might want to think a minute about your wording before hitting the reply button, we do have Japanese members on this forum.

Ok Sorry I didn't think that was offensive but edited non the less mate!

And Yeah I wish there were more paints for it too! Super fun and lightning fast!

I did some repaints for the T-2 when it was released and was working on some F-1 repaints before other projects took priority. Maybe its time to revisit the F-1.

Yeah definately in my opinion, its a cool aircraft! Thanks too!

The NASA one doesn't even look out of place in those colours I think!

If I recall correctly, I had to remove it because it was causing a CTD in FSX-A. Very odd for a PPP aircraft.

One that doesn't get much play on either the FS9 or FSX forums is the KBT Mitsubishi F-2. . .even as a beta release it's one of the best aircraft around.:salute:

Its like a high wing T-38

Now I remember why this wasn't finished...photo real camo takes a while to color match.

I fly the F-1 anfd T-2 from Piglet quite often, they are quite challenging to fly. I just love the flight model, the planes are really heavies, kind of flying brick, and it seens that this corresponds quite well to the caracteristics of the Jaguar (some pilots say that a jaguar can take off only because the earth is round).

Concerning the Mitsubishi F-2, I fly it from time to time. It's one of the most beautifull plane I have in my hangar, and it might be the only plane that has a HUD with a real functionnal Velocity Vector ! The only problem is the hit on the performance, which is really high. This is why I don't fly it so often.

I really wish there were more repaints for Piglet's planes.

I have never really fancied the F-2 even though it is a nice looking one, its the fact that there is a pilot in the VC that puts me off!

off enough not to read the readme... the pilot can be removed just by clicking a single switch :/

Yep, sometimes it pays to read the readme, lol.:salute:

To be honest guys I never even downloaded it because I thought it couldn't be done, but now I find it can, I shall get it tonight! Thanks for that!

Oh, cool!

Somehow totally ignored these back in the day. Gonna grab some of 'em, so thanks for the paints. :)

Just personal preference, but the reason I don't fly the F-1/T-2 anymore was because of the flight models. They just feel a bit too twitchy in my eyes, and you can get them doing some really bizarre maneouvres - stuff which I'm sure the F-1, nor the Jaguar would ever be able to do safely!

I know what you mean Tweek but I just fly it to within an 8g limit and all is well here!

Dang! Forgot all about those... Never did figure out how get them to fly decent at high Mach.
Samer with the F-5A. Somethin about FSX and high speed planes.
Or me...

I think it was just a limitation of certain fsx parameters!

May check out the FSKBT ones, and if I prefer the handling, just nick parts of the config and air file off it. I'd much prefer to have Piglet's native model.

That ain't a bad Idea let me know how you get on, plus do you know how to change the armament on the F-1?

Tweek

Tried that and it made it pretty unflyable. Oh well.

Just remebered,
Jerry Beckwith has a F-5A airfile at his Mudpond site. Somehow my Sci Fi Cylon Raider and Viper can fly very fast and are still be controllable. How did I ever do that,....luck?
Sorry, no real way to change armament on the F-1. That plane was made before I learned the present system, like on the Skyraiders.

Ok guys, I have to make a correction to my own words here.
Tonight, finally for the first time I found the time to test the fantastic Mirage 2000-5 from Rolus and BeeGee. I had downloaded it may weeks (months) ago, as soon as it was released in fact, but I had never tried it yet.

So, there are now TWO freeware planes that propose what appears to be a real Velocity Vector on the HUD:
- the Mirage 2000-5 from Rollus and BeeGee, which is in native FSX format
- the Mitsubishi F2 from FS-KBT, which is in FS9 format, FSX DX9 compatible
