Has anyone tried the reverse ring lens?
It just happened that I stumble on this....

You mean the rings that reverse lenses so they sort of act like a macro?
There are a lot of people who use 50mm's on top of a dedicated macro lens to get impressive magnifications.
If you are truly interested in macro, I'd suggest getting a macro lens. They are sooo much fun. :wavey:

Yep...there's no substitute for a dedicated macro lens, imo. I've tried extension tubes on my 50mm f1.8 in the past but was never happy with the results.
Edit: Saw this in another forum..... http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/839605
Worth trying if you've got a lens going spare.:)

That being said, a micro (macro) lens although expensive is a better way to go...
