Winch launch for sailplanes/gliders.

In the real world, I have my soaring license, and I have recently been hooked on soaring in FSX. I do own Condor Soaring Sim, but I sometimes I want to relax, and do something a little more mainstream and relaxing, FSX. I have seen quite a few youtube videos featuring a winch lauching program for FSX, however, I cannot find anything on it. If anyone has any info on this, I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Not sure about the question. You have a glider that won't launch, or you need a glider that will launch, or how to just get a FSX glider tow to launch?

And don't forget Aerosoft's excellent DiscusX which comes with WinchX and if you don't want to even fuss around with that, it's got 2 self-launching Discus's.

winchX seems to run just fine, the problem I have is I've never found a primer or other good guidance on doing winch launches. Looking at youtubes it looks like they pull back pretty aggressively on the stick at first.

The Aerosoft Discus is good if you want to get into realistic vario and netto gauges.

Besides WinchX, in FSX you can use any chosen tow plane and be tow to altitude. Default is the Maule, but with Paavo Pihelgas's AeroTow program, one can chose any tow plane of his liking as long as the plane is in the FSX Library. http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6497

you can launch a glider from anywhere in fsx.

hit the "y" key, then f4

Thanks guys, WinchX was just what I was looking forward too. I have done many wich launches in the real world (it's quite the rush) and winch X is pretty close to it. Now I feel like making a video of it.
