Hi Yellowrose....

The file you downloaded should be a zip. What I normally do is to unzip (extract) to a temporary folder (that you create so you know where it is)

When the file is unzipped (extracted) you generally will find a folder that has the aircraft name. Inside this folder will be more folders ie: model, panel, texture, and sound.

Simply move or copy the aircraft folder to your aircraft folder in FS9 (2004)and you should be good to go.

One thing to check for:: if the unzipped aircraft folder has additional folders other than the ones mentioned above, namely effects and or gauges, you must either move or copy the files within these folders to their respective folders within FS9(2004)

The aircraft, effects, gauges folders are located within FS9 as follows:: C:/Programs/Microsoft Games/FS9 and then the folders are all listed.

This is assuming that your sim is located in Drive C:

Hope this helps. If you have more questions just ask.

Just checked the file. When you unzip you get the aircraft folder for the c-170. When you open that folder there is another folder named c-170. That second folder is the one you move to your FS9 aircraft folder.(don't remove the files-move the whole folder) You will also see an extra folder like I mentioned before ie: GAUGES folder. Move the files (3) from within this folder to the Gauges folder of FS9 as mentioned above and you should be ready to fly. The other files can be discarded (file id and the image) The read me if you open it up will give you probably about the same info that I have given you.
