I was in Greeville, SC today at about 4:00 or so and saw an odd looking plane flying overhead near I-80/Agusta Rd. The plane had 2 rearward facing props, a "hammerhead" nose and looked pretty big, almost like a passenger jet. it was white, low wing, and had a single fuelsalage. I had never seen one before, but i found out it was a Piaggio Avanti P180.

it was really a neat looking plane and i though for a second that there was life in the next galaxy. :costumes:

Yes, there was one at Duxford last year - the Italian Air Force use it as a VIP transport. Heaven knows what those generals get up to in there - cocktail cabinet, king size bed, etc etc. (Only kidding about the bed)

It would be a nice aeroplane to fly in FS9 if you like modern stuff. My namesake Ralf Schumacher has got an Avanti (not this Canadian one, however).

It would be a nice aeroplane to fly in FS9 if you like modern stuff.

FSD has a payware Avanti, however, at flightsim.com you can find a file called 'mn_P180.zip' , Which is a good representation of the aircraft mentioned above.

RR, i hadnt noticed that i had mistyped it. now it actually makes sense. :costumes: no harm done and thanks for pointing it out to me......would never have noticed. :)
