I try to set up my backgrounds with a calibration box I get the top view set then the front but when I try to set the left the box in the front view moves. the top view stays but I always have to fight with the other two. do you need the 3 views all at the same time can I just use what I need then switch. what is the best way to start.
thanks

Hey army,
Here's the way I do mine.
I make "planes" in all the views in gmax, make the exact dimentions of the plane. Then apply the background to the "planes".
Some use a "box" with the ploys flipped. It does about the same thing. Either one will work, this is just the way I do it.

Use the material navigator, put your backdrops in folder , for easy findin. Click on the material nav an go to your folder. When ya get there, just click on the one ya want an drag an drop it onto the "plane"

right click the view name in the top left corner of each view(top , side......) in the drop down click on smooth & highlight. When you wantto go back to wireframe..rightclick again an choose that.
