How about a Mig-21 and 23 too? Capt Sim has an old 21 for FS9 but nothing is out there for a 21 or 23 for FSX. These were the early Cold War birds and are still in use around the world today.

Don't be afraid to push some more polys into it, if you take a look at some other freeware aircrafts, they have smooth shapes without impacting the performance.

The basic interceptor needs a scope for the radar, after all.

About Mach 2.8 at 65,000 feet is now possible but control is very touchy. I have no afterburners visible.
It's a good work, an FSX native, and such high speed and high altitude aircraft are uncommon.
I hope more work will be done to improve it.

After a flight using AP set at alt 60,400 the Foxbat got over M2.1 but no faster unless in a dive. Pilot control and level flight at about 53,000 feet reached M2.8+ by my effort.

I stand corrected: my previous post was wrong.

The AP seems ok but the autothrottle_max_rpm=90.000 may be limiting speed???

Brakes can be set to a higher value of say 0.95, or use very long runways. I'll try different settings. The MiG-25 lands fast and is heavy even with low fuel and no payload.

Edit---another flight--
Mach 3 at 53,000 feet using the AP and a speed setting KIAS very high. I don;t know if a real Foxbat would fly so fast at that altitude, probably higher.

If only it were armed.....empty pylons look....empty...;)

Added 'tweaks' I'd fiddled with for the Alphasim ver....can coax this one to mach3.2 [the speed they bend their engines at]....skin temp [if legitimate] would be mildly problematic though.

If the bump were a little more conservative....the canopy frame in 3D a little more 'lean' and some AtoA on the pylons I'd happily foot the bill for the mods...;)

wilycoyote4, try changing your autothrottle_max_rpm=90.000 to a rpm based on 10% less than the rpm in the engine setting, not sure if autothrottle_max_rpm=90.000 which is 90% of max RPM still works in FSX I found often on autopilot it reduced so much a aircraft would not fly, is FSX reading 90.000 as 90 rpm ??? changing to a bit less than the max engine rpm worked.

If anybody wants to convert my models and make them suitable for AI Carriers, steerable ships etc then give me a shout. I have all models ready and FSX native so I just need some help with the final stuff. These were going to be a payware relase but I do not have time with the other stuff that I am doing to commit so they will be freeware.
Some images can be found at www.mark-harper.co.uk (http://www.mark-harper.co.uk)

They have been sitting on my hard drive for 3 years or more so time to sweep out the old and bring in the new. Also it is very very likely that the Eagle will also be freeware.
A donation would be nice but totally not required. You can't protect scenery files from the bit torrent pirates so I might as well get rid of them for free. It is the return from payware projects that keep developers alive for complex FSX native models so please think about that.
Because of my other work though and these will be free please please give me a bit of space and no gripes.

Couldn't you please make the Ships from FSDSMAN useable?

it'd be great to make those amazing model to work in fsx,
if FSDSMAN gives me the honour to give me the permission to do that, i'd be glad doing it...with all the limitation of my abilities of course

That would be nice... Sry for that question - is it possible to stand in the air like a helikopter with that YAK-141? If yes, please tell me how... Flaps Full, air brake, or what is to do?

Dose anyone have a link to the most upto date version of the Mig-25?

FSDSMAN is the Flanker B ready for FSX as a flyable aircraft?
The Flanker B is FSX Native and has been on sale for around a year now.
Regarding the ships see my post in a new thread.

Mark's Kiev is still on the horizon via Team SDB. But is delayed while Mark works on other projects.

Sorry i missed the last screenshot. I like that Yak more and more!:applause:

Something differend:
Maybe a skilled enough person reads this topic that like to make another soviet ship for us, so here is another request.
I really like to have the Project 11570 Alexander Brykin for FSX, it would be so nice together with lazarus's very nice SSBN Typhoon.
So here are some pictures of the Alexander Brykin:

Nope.

But wouldn't a ship be an ideal opportunity to pick up the fine art of making models for FSX?

Have to ask, but purpose of a ship. Why?

It looks like i have to give it a try... Bjoern, do you know if there is a good tutorial(maybe in german) where i can learn how to build a ship?

There is no definite shipbuilding tutorial for FSX.

The first step is learning how to do general stuff in a modeling program. I suggest Blender for this because it's free and has an exporter for FSX. Download and install Blender and google for some general tutorials (in german), there should be quite a few of these around. Do a few of them until you get a feel for the workflow.
The basic skills you need for a ship are modeling, UV mapping and texturing.
Next up, find as much data, drawings and images for the real ship as you can to get you started and then just go from there.

Once you have the model done, you can export it from Blender and place it as a scenery object or turn it into an AI ship or something else.

For questions regarding Blender and FSX, you've got a subforum at FSDev.

I'm interested in modelling Alexander Brykin for 3D printing ... and see that you at one time had a nice drawing of her (both Plan & Profile views). I can't access the full drawing, just a very small, fuzzy tumbnail. Can you repost the original?

Thanks,
